Pics From The Week!

My fave pics from the week!

Was lovely and sunny and warm on Thursday, I had my window open, and I swear I could smell summer! It looked beautiful when the sun set, so I thought I would take a nice pic of it!

I painted my nails in No7's Stonewash this week. I took this a good couple of days after I'd applied it, and although it took 3 layers to get the full colour, it lasted well without chipping. I have a problem with chipping nailvarnish really easily, so I'd definitely recommend No7's nailvarnishes!
A new book I have started this week, and it's about the fashion world, SO girly. Hopefully it will be good.

Decided to try some camomile tea before bed, and I quite like it, though it does remind me of bath water.

One of Cadbury's puddings (£1 from Morrisons!) YUM

Decided I am in love with these facemasks, so myself, my sister and flatmate went and got some, along with a couple of extra purchases from Boots.

Somehow managed to get the cork INSIDE the wine bottle, oops!

Hope you all had a lovely week and weekend!

My Favourite Red Lipstick

I have a fair amount of lipsticks (of which will be saved for another time) in a variety of colours. However, my favourite colour has to be red. Nothing can add class and glamour to an outfit or look like a bright red lip can. I have a few red lipsticks, in various shades, but my favourite has to be 'Hazard' from Topshop.

I all lot of the Topshop lipsticks, however this was the first one I purchased as I was looking for a nice red lippy at the time, and this was perfect! As you can tell by the packaging, this is something I use a lot (and take out in my bag for reapplication), and I wear it a lot on nights out, as well as during the day when I'm not wearing much eye makeup.

It is a fairly bright red, which is what I was looking for, and definitely my go-to when I want to wear a statement lip. In the tube it looks a lot darker than when it is actually applied, but nevertheless I love it. It isn't a matte lipstick, but fairly moisturising, and I would probably say needs reapplying for a touch up after a good couple of hours.

This is how it looks when applied to the mouth, although I'm sure yours will be much neater than mine, it's not good applying lipstick in dim lighting! Also, it does tend to bleed, therefore it would hold much better with a lipliner. I can imagine this is the kind of lipstick that would suit absolutely anybody, which is always a plus!

Pro's:

  • Moisturising
  • Beautiful colour
  • Nice packaging (when you haven't scraped it all off like me!)
  • Very pigmented
  • Reasonably priced
Cons:
  • Brighter than it looks before applying
  • Bleeds (lipliner preferably!)
Hope this was helpful, and I would definitely recommend this product to everyone!
