Pics From The Week!

My fave pics from the week!

Was lovely and sunny and warm on Thursday, I had my window open, and I swear I could smell summer! It looked beautiful when the sun set, so I thought I would take a nice pic of it!

I painted my nails in No7's Stonewash this week. I took this a good couple of days after I'd applied it, and although it took 3 layers to get the full colour, it lasted well without chipping. I have a problem with chipping nailvarnish really easily, so I'd definitely recommend No7's nailvarnishes!
A new book I have started this week, and it's about the fashion world, SO girly. Hopefully it will be good.

Decided to try some camomile tea before bed, and I quite like it, though it does remind me of bath water.

One of Cadbury's puddings (£1 from Morrisons!) YUM

Decided I am in love with these facemasks, so myself, my sister and flatmate went and got some, along with a couple of extra purchases from Boots.

Somehow managed to get the cork INSIDE the wine bottle, oops!

Hope you all had a lovely week and weekend!

University Life

I have completed my first year at university, and I am now a couple of months into my second. This post is to tell my own personal experience, and how it differs from what the stereotypical view of university life is, as well as others' experiences.

I absolutely love uni, and believe it's the best thing I could've done. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do after college, but knew that I loved psychology, therefore pursued it further at degree level. I'm sure there were other ways to gain the knowledge needed, and further a possible career in the profession, but to be quite honest I wanted the university experience, and didn't want to go about it any other way.

Before I actually began university I'd mostly heard that uni life was all about the partying, drinking, and overdrafts pretty much. I love to go out and have fun, so that didn't bother me too much, but I was worried about the money issues, particularly because I didn't want to feel that I was incapable of managing my own money, and needing help.

I got to uni, and being the first there with my sister meant a couple of boring days, but it soon picked up with my two other flatmates, and we got on really well. This is where it was different to a few people, and sometimes with what you hear. There are plenty of people who just don't gel with their flatmates, and that can be for a variety of reasons, whether it's noise, cleanliness, or generally clashing personality-wise.

I decided on moving to the city for university (Leeds) and I adore it, there's so much going on all the time, and it's very busy which I love. I just feel like I've had so many more opportunities since living here, although the city is not for everyone.

But overall I've been having a great time, and would recommend it to anyone, unless you really hate socialising with people, or learning, which, lets face it, isn't a large part of the experience. When people say it is mostly for the social life, that is true, but as long as you put the work in as well, you get a degree from it! Bonus!
